One of the biggest things that helps me get back into any fitness routine, is to buy shiny new workout gear. Yes, my vanity can occasionally be put to good use. However, these days, new workout gear, especially good quality stuff that will last you a lifetime, can cost a pretty penny.
At the end of the day, workout clothing needs to be resilient and reliable. Nobody wants to split their gusset right in the middle of a deadlift. So where can you find affordable gym wear that will not only be kind to your bank account, but will also stand the test of time?
My number one place to get amazing deals on top quality gym gear. The designer brand outlet has a huge range to offer, from New Balance to Elle Sport. You can pick up a decent pair of capris for under £20 and occasionally, they’ll even have some bargains on out of season gym shoes such as Nike.
H&M always offers amazing value clothes and although I’ve had a moan before about their slightly higher priced ‘workout tees’, they do great quality gym wear. You can even head to their basics section to pick up some loose fitting t-shirts to work out in!
Primani as I call it, always the ‘go-to’ place for affordable gym wear. They do some pretty decent quality stuff if you have a look around. They will do a pair of workout leggings for £8 or a nice racer back top for £5. Primark is known for its cheap clothes, but the quality has definitely improved over the years and I’m very happy with the last few things I’ve got from their activewear range!
I remember the days when everything in my wardrobe was New Look, now I like to spread my fashion purchases a little further, but it’s still a firm favourite. If you liked Beyonce’s Ivy Park range, then New Look could be a perfect affordable alternative for you!
Trusty Sports Direct, with their never ending closing down sales, they always have a lot to offer. I would say about 45% of my gym wear is from here, particularly USA Pro. Here, you’ll be able to pick up your favourite sports brands at a lower price. Choose from Puma, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Under Armor and more!
There’s something about getting new gym wear that instantly boosts your confidence and gets you motivated for a good workout. Just remember to keep in mind that your outfit needs to be practical above all things!
