I’m Cat, a twenty something content marketer living in the heart of Manchester and blogging about life, mental health and keeping fit and strong!

I’ve been blogging off and on for a number of years, jumping from subject to subject, never really finding anywhere I felt comfortable or even knowledgable. However, they always say to write about what you know and what I know is mental health, and the struggle to keep your entire body fit and healthy.

I decided that I wanted to combine my passion for fitness with my passion for promoting positive mental health. I noticed that the two never really cross, unless you’re a yogi and you can stand on your head. The fitness bloggers and PT’s always talked about body confidence and feeling good in the skin you’re in, but none of them mentioned mental health directly as the cause of this issue.

That’s where I come in. I’m in no way a trained or qualified professional in fitness, psychology or nutrition, but I have done enough research and experienced enough trial and error to feel confident talking about the subjects I address on this blog.

The biggest reason for the creation of this blog of course, is my 2018 trek along the Great Wall of China, in aid of the Mental Health Foundation. Over the next year I will be taking you along on my training, both physical and mental, my fund raising efforts and just generally how I’m making tiny adjustments to keep my mental health stable.
